DOH Biomedical Waste Management Training
In accordance with the State of Florida Chapter 64E-16.003(2)(a) of the Florida Administrative Code, “All employees handling biomedical waste must receive annual training on the management of biomedical waste.” and new hire employees must receive training "prior to the commencement of duties related to biomedical waste handling"
Biomed provides:
"Initial training" for new facilities on YOUR facilities written operating plan required by 64E-16
"Annual refresher" training for existing facilities on YOUR facilities written operating plan required by 64E-16
Employee trainings are conducted IN PERSON, ONLINE OR LIVE WEB with our Biomed OSHA Authorized Trainer
- Receive their unique login and have full access to the course(s)
- Work at their own learning pace
- Save where they left off and resume the course until it is completed
- Complete each chapter and quiz in sequence prior to moving on to the next chapter
- Retake the quiz and review previous lessons
- Receive a weekly reminder if the course has not been completed within the specified time
- Download outline(s) and handout(s)
- Courses are ONLINE and ON DEMAND
- Stop and start at anytime, pick-up where you left off
- A training certificate is awarded after successful completion of the course and may be downloaded and printed
- Quiz at the end of each chapter to test your understanding of the course content
To schedule our IN PERSON or LIVE WEB training:
- Select the type of training you would like to purchase (Biomedical Waste Management only or OSHA/DOH combo training or OSHA/DOH/HIPAA training)
- Select the number of employees attending the training
- Click on the Schedule training option, complete the check out page and choose a date and time that is convenient for your facility (we will send an email to confirm)
