Enrolled employees will have access to the following online courses:

o HIPAA Privacy, Security & Breach Notification
o HIPAA Privacy, Security & Breach Notification for Privacy & Security Officers
o Florida Department of Health Biomedical Waste Management
Employers not only fulfil the training requirements, but enrolling in the “Tier 1” Membership will relieve the stress on administrators who need to keep track of training dates for employees by providing 24/7 access to our courses via a shared link
AVOID HEFTY PENALTIES and train “NEW HIRES” promptly
OSHA and Florida Department of Health requires that new hires have “initial” training prior to the commencement of duties
HIPAA requires employees to be trained "within a reasonable time" once they have joined the workforce
AVOID HEFTY PENALTIES and train "EXISTING" employees annually
OSHA & FDOH requires that EXISTING employees MUST be trained annually
HIPAA requires that existing employees receive “periodic” training (interpreted as annually)
, maintaining and keeping track of employee training records

o Training records for HIPAA must be kept on file for 6 years

Once the membership is purchased, a link will be provided to a manager or designee who would be “assigned” the role of an administrator where they can log-in:
o View the employees name and email address
o View the employees progress in the courses (% viewed, % completion)
o Export progress reports for your records and
o Receive access to trainings via a share link
EMPLOYEES will be able to:
o Access training anywhere, anytime, stop and start where they left off
o Receive a weekly reminder if training is not completed
o Download their completion certificate(s)
WHAT WILL EMPLOYEES HAVE ACCESS TO?
Ñ Employees will have access to the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens, OSHA Personal Protective Equipment training, HIPAA Privacy Security & Breach Notification training and Florida Department of Health Biomedical Waste Management modules where they can:
o Access the training anywhere, anytime, stop and start where they left off
o Work at their own pace
o Take a quiz after each chapter
o Receive a weekly reminder until training is completed
o Download their certificate(s)
WE HAVE "NEW HIRES" WHEN DO THEY NEED TO BE TRAINED?
Ñ “Initial” training is required by OSHA, HIPAA & Florida Department of Health prior to the commencement of duties
o Integrating our OSHA, HIPAA &/or FDOH “Tier 1” Membership courses as a part of your onboarding process would give full access to our courses for up to 100 employees, thereby fulfilling the “initial” training requirement for new hires
WHAT INFORMATION WILL THE ADMINISTRATOR BE ABLE TO ACCESS?
Ñ A manager/designee who is assigned the role can log-in and:
o Gain access via a share link
o View the employees name and email address
o View the employees progress in the courses
o Export progress reports for your records
DOES THE ADMINISTRATOR/DESIGNEE HAVE TO BE "ASSIGNED" A ROLE?
Ñ No, if the administrator chooses not to be "assigned" as the administrator, Biomed can provide the following (weekly, monthly or quarterly reporting) for a one-time fee:

» MONITOR employees «
» EXPORT progress reports «
WHAT IS THE PROCESS IF BIOMED IS ASSIGNED AS THE ADMINISTRATOR?
Ñ Once the membership is purchased, you will need to email the names, email addresses and job titles of all employees or new hires (excel template) and we will:
o enroll your employees in the course
o email a link to each employee
o keep track of how many links have been assigned
o provide a weekly, monthly or quarterly employee progress report as necessary
The report will include:
* Course name
* Facility name
* Employees name
* Email address
* Employee's progress in the assigned courses (% viewed, % completion)
WHY IS THERE A SEPARATE COURSE FOR THE PRIVACY & SECURITY OFFICERS?
Ñ Administrators who are also Privacy &/or Security Officers must understand how to apply the HIPAA requirements for their organization in order to avoid breaches and maintain compliance
