Requirements for OSHA:
- Annual and refresher training for ALL employees who have exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace
- Maintain an Exposure Control Plan
- Maintain an Hazard Communication Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Fire Safety & Prevention Plan
- Maintain training records
WHO NEEDS THIS TRAINING? Any employee who has the POTENTIAL for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious diseases as they perform their job duties. It includes the following:
- Physicians office staff
- Dental office staff
- Laboratories personnel
- Veterinary clinic staff
- Tattoo & piercing
- Hospital staff
- Skilled nursing or convalescent hospital staff
- Clinic staff
- Dialysis clinics staff
- Surgical clinic staff
- Funeral home staff
- Biomedical waste transporter companies
- Biomedical waste transfer and treatment facilities
OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030 requires that:
- Employees must be trained at the time of initial assignment on tasks where occupational exposure may take place
- When new or modified tasks or procedures affect a worker's occupational exposure
- Employers must also provide training at least ANNUALLY thereafter and within one year of the previous training

- If you are purchasing 5 or more links, email the following information in an Excel spread sheet:

- Job title
- Once this information is received, all employees are sent a link and enrolled in our course(s)

Here's how it works

- Complete and return the questionnaire or schedule an appointment to receive assistance to complete the questionnaire (Time will vary depending on the size of the facility)
- Once Biomed has receive your completed questionnaire, we will begin to develop your personalized manual
- Manuals are mailed within 7-14 days
- An email will be sent requesting a date and time for a phone session with the administrator or designee to highlight key areas of the manual (between 15 min - 1 hour depending on the size of the facility)
