In accordance with the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 (g)(2) Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens
"Employers shall ensure that all employees with occupational exposure participate in a training program...Training must be provided at the time of initial assignment to tasks where occupational exposure may take place and when new or modified tasks or procedures affect a worker’s occupational exposure."
"Employers must also provide training at least annually thereafter and within one year of their previous training."
Bloodborne Pathogens Training - Dental Care Workers
Applies to any employee who has the potential of exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace
Applies to dental care & healthcare industry workers as well as veterinarians, lab, conventional & cosmetic tattoo, funeral home, nursing home and emergency personnel
"Initial" training must be provided for new personnel prior to the performing job of duties related to exposure to bloodborne pathogens
"Refresher" training to be conducted annually for all personnel who have occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
Fulfills OSHA's 29CFR 1910.1030 initial and refresher training requirement
Certificate awarded to document successful completion of the training
