Cherie Deering has been in the healthcare industry for over 25 years. Cherie and her husband owned and operated a successful medical waste transportation company, as well as the first medical waste autoclave treatment facility in Broward County, Florida.  Thus, she is well-versed in the rules and regulations of the healthcare waste industry.  

Among her many functions as President of Biomed Waste Corporation & Steritronix Inc., she also conducted compliance trainings and developed policies and procedures for hospitals, prison systems, doctors’ offices, dental practices, veterinary hospitals, tattoo parlors, funeral homes and home health agencies, biomedical waste transportation companies and treatment facilities.  After selling the company she sought to continue her passion for teaching and training healthcare professionals on OSHA, Department of Health, biomedical waste management, HIPAA and DOT, HazMat regulations.

Cherie prides herself in providing personalized service to fulfill each client's needs which has allowed her throughout the years to retain most of her client base. Her experience in assessing, developing, implementing and continuous monitoring of the healthcare compliance regulations continues to make her sought after in the industry. 

Cherie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Loyola University in Chicago and is an OSHA Authorized Trainer for 10 & 30 hour General Industry covering blood-borne pathogens, hazard communication and emergency action policies to name a few.  Cherie maintains a membership with the Health Care Compliance Association and is currently applying to become Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance as well as a member of the Florida Environmental Health Association (FEHA).

Cherie is also approved by the Florida Department of Health to conduct classroom based training for Tattoo Artist licensure on bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases.
