DOH Biomedical Waste Management Training

In accordance with the State of Florida Chapter 64E-16.003(2)(a) of the Florida Administrative Code, “All employees handling biomedical waste must receive annual training on the management of biomedical waste.”

 

Biomed provides: 

"Initial training" for new facilities on YOUR facilities written operating plan as required by 64E-16


"Annual refresher" training for existing facilities on YOUR facilities written operating plan as required by 64E-16


Employee trainings are conducted either at your facility or by live, interactive web training with our Biomed OSHA Authorized Trainer


  • You're given an opportunity for interactive questions and answers with the consultant conducting the training session
  • The training addresses issues specific for your facility
  • Instructors are professional and knowledgeable

Our training session includes:

      • Definition & Identification
      • Segregation
      • Storage & Containment
      • Labeling
      • Transportation
      • Decontamination of Biomedical Waste Spills
      • Contingency Plan
      • Documentation & Recordkeeping
      • Treatment    
   

After your training is completed, your employees will be awarded with a certificate, providing evidence of successful completion of the requirements of 64E-16 FAC.
